Hi! My name is Natalie. I started this blog on February 2nd 2017, because I love American Girl dolls; Photographing them, doing their hair, sewing outfits for them. This blog is meant to be a safe and fun environment for Doll-Lovers of all ages to share their passion.
I got my first doll, Kit, when I was four. I had wanted an AG doll for a while, but it's a sad fact that AG dolls are overpriced. So, after who-knows-how-many-months of badgering, my parents made a deal with me; If I could read the book to them (quite an accomplishment for a preschooler) they would buy me the doll. I finally got Kit in May 2010, and LOVED her! She went EVERYWHERE with me, and it a wonder she is still so nice!
In June 2015, just a few months after Maryellen's debut, I ordered Ellie with my own money. I had fallen in love with her the second I saw her. She sort of looks like me, and I love her time period.
\My sister received Emily Claire as a Christmas present a few years ago, so while she's technically my sister's Emi gets to be on The American Girl Spot, too.
In January 2017, I was absentmindedly scrolling through ebay listings of American girl dolls, when a doll with shoulder-length wavy black hair, and brown eyes appeared. I realized she was Jess, an older Girl Of The Year. I loved her, and thought she was so pretty that I bought her on the spot. Adalyn is special because she was GOTY the year I was born, and I bought her the day after my birthday, January 6th, or Epiphany.
I started TheAGSpot the day after Adi arrived; February 2nd, 2017. I vividly remembered nervously hitting ''create blog'' and hoping I'd get one or two comments. I got more than that-TheAGSpot currently has over 100!
This blog has come a long way since then, and I hope that everyone who visits here enjoys it!
