A (not-so) Little Explanation

Hello! It's me. I feel like I've been kind of lazy on this blog...I mean, ever since WDD, the bulk of my posts have been Let's Talk, and Awards/Tags. I don't know if you guys feel the same way, but if you do, this my attempt at explaining. During this post, in which I am supposed to quickly tell you why I haven't been very original lately, and promise to do better, and then do so. However, what will probably happen is that I will get hopelessly off-topic, use a whole bunch of emoji's and give you a little glimpse into my life. I hope you guys won't mind 😉.

There are several reasons why I have been not-so original for a while. One, I have been volunteering at my churches' VBS, and...whew! Leading eight kids ages 9-4 around for an entire morning and making sure they don't kill each other in the process is pretty exhausting! 😫

The other reason is that I have recently become completely hooked on a show on Netflix called The Flash, about a guy who has a depressing life until he realizes he can run at extremely high speeds. It's one of those shows where science should not work that way, but somehow does. It is SO good! I am a total geek of a girl, and I see a lot of myself in that show....And I have a shameless crush on one of the characters. (I am very proud of myself for admitting that, because I was always the kid who yelled ''Ewwww!'' when they kiss in a movie. I have since grown up.)

And while we are talking about being nerdy and weird, I would also like to profess my undying obsession with the video game Undertale. And all things associated with it, especially Sans and Papyrus the skeletons, and Flowey. (Don't ask, just go play the game, and you'll understand)

Also, I love LoadingArtist https://loadingartist.com/. Best Webcomic Ever! I just cannot help but connect to Blue, and hey! I get my daily dose of humor. I really want one of the ''In Hat We Trust'' sweatshirts.

Another webcomic I love is XKCD https://www.xkcd.com/. As the site says, it's a comic of Romance, Sarcasm, Math, and Language. I love it all. Go check it out. Today's comic is hilarious.

(See? I am SO off-topic!)

To get even MORE off-topic, I love cats. I have two, and want another. Actually, I'd like as many more as possible. I have a tuxedo male named Fabian, and a black female named Echo. Both are fuzzy, loving, and always want me to feed them. I am a cat person, through and through.

And, now, because I have chores I need to do, I am going to log off with this; Thank you for taking the time to live a little in my head, and Thanks for tolerating me, who is probably the weirdest, nerdiest, most misfit doll-blogging 11-year old out there.

Let's Talk; Who is Your Favorite AG Mini Doll?

Hello, everyone! It's Sunday, and that means it's time for Let's Talk! Last week's question was;

''If You could Put Freckles on Any Doll, Who Would It Be?''

You guys have some great imaginations, and had some great ideas! However, Joy's comment was definitely my fave!

I think #39 would look PERFECT with freckles.
CAROLINE; Hey, what about me?
ME: Um, no. Just no.
CAROLINE: You really think so?
SAMANTHA: Of course she thinks so! You would look AWFUL in freckles!
CAROLINE; Gee, thanks, Sami.
SAMANTHA; She's calling me Sami again!
ME; Girls, can't you go somewhere else?
I only meant to write down a simple comment! Why is it so hard? I mean, it's just one sentence!

Hahahahaha! Li-li, Sammy-I mean Samantha- you guys crack me up! And #39 with freckles would be gorgeous.

And now for today's question! Are you ready? Drum-roll please!

''Who Is Your Favorite AG Mini Doll?''

My answer; My favorite AG mini doll is Tenney Grant! I love her bouncy, soft, thick blond hair, and she has the sweetest little face.

Now that I've answered, it's time for you to! I can't wait to hear about all your favorite mini's!

3. My siblings and parents know, and two of my friends. Joy, who knows me in Real Life, was the first one I told.

4. Umm.....hm...Buy a phone. I really, really want one!

6. *Bites lip in deep thought* Well.....at least three years. Probably longer, but I'm just estimating.

7. I'm not normally allowed on YouTube, (there IS some inappropriate stuff on there, you know) but I do like Foreveranddollways and AGoverseasfan.

Sister Tag with Kit and Maryellen!

Hello, awesome people! Diamond nominated Kit and Ellie for Sister Tag! Thank you so much Diamond! You are awesome! Now, the rules are;

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog
  • Answer the eleven questions below, and then have your sister do the same
  • Nominate seven bloggers and ask them the same eleven questions
  1. Which of you is older?
  2. What’s your favorite thing to do together?
  3. What is your sister’s favorite food?
  4. What’s a character trait in the other that you appreciate?
  5. What’s a character trait in the other that you don’t appreciate?
  6. What’s one hobby you have that the other doesn’t?
  7. Who keeps a cleaner room?
  8. What’s the biggest way in which your sister can annoy you?
  9. Describe each other in three words.
  10. How do the two of you differ personality-wise?
  11. Why do you love your sister? (C’mon, you know you do!)

Ok, let's get started! Ellie goes first, and her talking is in pink.

1. Kit is older-she is almost 12, and I am 10.

2. Play cards! We play Go Fish and SlapJack a lot, especially when we're bored.

3. Um....uh....*whispers* ''Kit! What's your favorite food? Uh-huh-ok, thanks!'' Ahem. Kit's favorite food is Greek olives.  I personally think they taste like they've gone rotten, but to each her own, I guess.

4.  Kit is always ready to listen, and she doesn't freak out easily.

5. KIT DOESN'T LIKE FASHION!! AHHH! SERIOUSLY, FASHION. IS. LIFE. Oh, and how she  likes to wear a black shirt and navy blue shorts. SERIOUS Fashion No-No.

6. Fashion is my hobby, and Kit's is photography and writing.

7. We share a room, so it's kinda hard to tell, but our room is usually pretty neat.

8. Kit isn't really the annoying type, I mean, she doesn't do it intentionally, but it drives me bananas when she wears stripes and polka dots, or another Fashion No-No.

9. Calm. Book-loving. Competent.

10. Well, like I said, Kit is a lot calmer than I am, and she prefers to read than be fashionable. Kit is more of an introvert, though she isn't shy, and I am definitely extroverted.

11. Hmm......I love her because she is always ready to listen to me when I'm upset. But don't take it too seriously Kit!

Thank you, Ellie! Now it's Kit's turn. Kit talks in Green.

1. I am older, almost 12 (on June 30th, exactly) and Ellie is 10.

2. I know this sounds weird, but we seem to bond over cleaning our room.

3.  Ellie's favorite food is cupcakes with vanilla frosting and rainbow sprinkles. I have to say I can't argue much.

4. I love that Ellie is always so ready and smile-y. She always makes anyone feel welcome.

5. Well....Sometimes I feel like she is too high-strung. You know, how she freaks out if her favorite dress isn't clean....I mean, it's just a dress!

6. My hobbies are photographing and writing. I suppose Maryellen's are fashion.

7. I think I'm neater, even if we share a room.

8. When she tells me there's something wrong with my outfit! Argh!
9. Stylish, Smiley, Sassy.

10. I prefer sitting and reading a novel with a glass of iced tea, and Ellie is more of an active-type-girl.

11. Ellie, I love you 'cause you are so sweet and sassy.

Thank you, Kit! That was so sweet!

AND NOW! THE NOMINEES ARE.......................................................................................................

P.S. I'm planning a Q&A post for sometime next week-if you have any questions for me, comment them below!

Let's Talk; If You Could Put Freckles on Any Doll, Who Would It Be?

Hello awesome readers! It's time for Let's Talk! Last week's question was.....

''Who was your First AG Doll?''

Our selected comment is from...........AG Homeschooler! She commented;

My first doll was #59, Carol. I had wanted an American Girl doll for a long time, and I was going to ask for one with brown eyes and black-brown hair. (Since she looked the most like me). But then #59 came out, and, looking the most like me because I have brown hair, and not black-brown hair, I fell in love! I love her to this day.

Thank you for commenting AG Homeschooler! I'm so glad you got Carol!

And now for today's question which is.....................................................................................................

''If You Could Put Freckles on Any Doll, Who Would It Be?''

Phew! That was a long one!

My answer; '' If I could put freckles on any doll, it would be #65. With that red hair and blue eyes, she just needs them! It would be so cute!''

Now that I've answered, It's time for you to! I can't wait to see what you guys comment!

The U-Pick Garden of Eden 😛 A Photostory

Hello, Awesome Readers! Due to a sudden bout of Summer Vacation boredom ;), I made this little photo story. Enjoy!

''So why are we here again?'' Adalyn asked her rommate, Kit, as they walked through a U-Pick farm.

''Because I want blueberry pie for my birthday, and we are going to pick blueberries.'' Kit answered patiently.

''But why can't we just buy blueberries from the store??'' Adalyn persisted, impatiently.

''Because produce from a grocery store is not usually organic, and because it is usually shipped from the west coast, leaving a larger carbon footprint. And, by going to a U-Pick farm, we are supporting local agriculture.'' Kit explained.

Adi rolled her eyes. ''Blah, blah, blah,'' she imitated; ''Picky, picky, picky. It's just some berries!''

''Adalyn,'' Kit said in a warning voice.

''Ugh,fine.'' Adalyn grumped, as she followed Kit.

Kit leaned over a sign showing what direction to go in. ''C'mon, Adi, blueberry picking is this way,'' she said.

When they reached the blueberry patch, Kit handed Adi a pail. ''Get picking!'' she said cheerfully.

''What's to stop me from just sitting?'' Adi asked defiantly.

''If you don't pick a full bucket, you won't get any pie.'' Kit said matter-of-factly.

Adalyn looked at the pail in distaste.

''Fine.'' Adi took the pail.
''Good.'' Kit started plopping berries into her pail.

''You know, I think this whole 'organic' thing is a whole load of baloney,'' Adalyn said as she picked.

''Adalyn, pesticides can have a detrimental effect on health, and by using less chemicals, we can help preserve wildlife.'' Kit told her roommate.

''Yeah? Well I think vegetables and fruits aren't worth worrying over, because there are WAY better things out there! Like chicken mcnuggets!'' Adalyn shot back.

Kit looked Adi straight in the eye. ''Adalyn,'' she began, ''you know what? Every time you say things like that, you are underappreciating God's wonderful creation.''

That made Adalyn stand up. ''What?'' she asked.

Kit plucked some blueberries off the bushes. ''Look, Adalyn. When God created blueberries through evolution some two million years ago, He created them for us then-still-evolving humans to eat. He made them taste good, and He made them a pretty color. If we say that they are ''boring'' then we are not appreciating the wonderful care that God put into them. How about that?''

Adi looked down at her pail of blueberries. It wasn't even half full.

Slowly, she turned to the bushes and started rapidly picking.

A few minutes later, she held her now-overflowing bucket of blueberries up to Kit's. ''I'm done!'' she said, happily.

''Awesome, Adi! High Five!'' Kit said.

Adalyn slapped her hand into Kit's triumphantly.

As the two girls walked home, lugging their heavy buckets, Adi said; ''That...was actually a lot of fun.''

''I knew you would,'' Kit replied.
''In fact,  you did so well, that I thought you could help me with picking, threshing, and grinding the wheat into flour for the pie crust!''

''WHAT???''

''I'm kidding! The flour we can buy.''

''Phew.''

Summer 2017 Future Updates

Hello, Everyone! Today I thought I'd give you the heads-up on some future goings-on at my doll house. These are things that will be happening 1-3 months from now.

Update #1; New Addition to the Dollhouse

My AG house has six rooms in two floor-to-ceiling columns. (my dollhouse is actually two IKEA wardrobe frames without doors.) I will be adding three more longer rooms sometime next month, by way of a wider IKEA wardrobe, and it will be at a right angle to my other rooms. If you didn't understand a word of that, don't worry, 'cause it'll all make sense when I show you a picture when it's done.

Update #2; New Family Members

I won't say much about this, but I will tell you that sometime in August two new members will join the TAGS doll family. One has freckles. The other has brown eyes. They might be customs. (mwahahahaha) That's all I'm telling you now, but keep an eye out for more clues, and feel free to take some guesses!

Update #3; New Bedroom Arrangements

Right now, Ellie and Kit share a bedroom, and Adalyn has her own. This will all shake up after the dollhouse renovation and after the new dolls arrive, because there will be five dolls. I think what I am going to do is have one of the new, wider rooms be a shared bedroom with one bunk bed and one single bed. Kit, Ellie, and one new doll will sleep there. One of the other, smaller rooms will house Adi and the other new doll. This may not be exactly what I do, but it will probably be along these lines.

Possible Update; New Pets?

I've been thinking that maybe my dolls need a dog or a cat-yes, I know, they have MuffMallow, and Andy, but MuffMallow is teeny, and Andy is, well, a fish. And I have been eyeing the Pomeranian
puppy for a while now...

I hope you enjoyed reading about future updates, and I know you are tantalized by the mystery of the two new dolls....Mwahahahahahahahaha!

Let's Talk; Who Was Your First AG Doll?

Hello, Everyone! It's time, once again, for Let's Talk! By now, you guys know the drill; first, I have to tell you who's comment from last week was selected.

Last Week's Question Was........''What is Your Favorite AG Outfit?''

Your comments made me want to go on a shopping spree! Izzy's comment was picked!

My favorite would have to be Kanani's pajamas. I love the patterned blue-green tunic style top with those leggings and cute fluffy slippers. I'd die to have it in my collection!

Thank you for commenting Izzy! I love Kanani's PJ's, too!

And now for Today's question!

''Who Was Your First AG Doll?''

My answer; My first AG doll was Kit. I got her when I was four, and I guess I picked her because she had blond hair. (Four-year-old logic, I suppose.)

Now that I've answered, it's time for you to! I'm looking forward to hearing about your special first dolls!

This Is Just To Say...

That I am sorry that I haven't posted much this week (except for Sunday's Let's Talk segment, which was scheduled, hehe!) and although I hate to make excuses, it's because I have been very busy with Adi being the DOTM.

But I also wanted to tell you that I am working very hard on my World Doll Day video, and am trying desperately to find good music. Any suggestions are welcome! (here's extra incentive; if you suggest something, and I pick it, you'll get a shout-out. Deal?) You guys have sent in awesome pictures, and I can't wait to finish and post it!

The last thing I wanted to say was that....I love you guys! You are so awesome and supportive, and I am grateful for every single one of you, and the comments you have left. I honestly don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my amazing readers!

Let's Talk; What Is Your Favorite AG Doll Outfit?

Hello, Doll-Lovers! It's time for another round of Let's Talk! I will get to today's question in a minute, but first I would like to show you one of the creative answers that was commented! Last week's question was; ''What would your dream custom doll look like?'' You guys described some absolutely STUNNING dolls-Anna's comment was selected!

''My dream custom doll would look like the main character from the novel I'm currently plotting-dark brown hair with blond and red streaks, green eyes, light skin, freckles, and would probably have the Jess mold. Her name would be Emma (the name of my character) and her meet outfit would be a spy suit.''

Emma sounds BEAUTIFUL, Anna! I hope you make/get her someday!

And now for Today's question!

What is Your Favorite AG Outfit Ever Made?

My answer; My absolute favorite AG outfit would have to be Lea's Meet Outfit! I love the bright, tribal print, and her sandals are positively to Die For! Plus, it's a very cute cut, and I like the braided belt.

Now that I've answered, it's time for you to! I can't wait to hear about YOUR favorite outfit!

Happy Summer, My Lovely Readers!

Hello, Doll-Lovers!

Do know what today is? June 1! And that means several things; Summer is here! Or at least on it's way. It also means that there is a new DOTM on Dollsnall! We here at TheAGSpot are very excited and proud for the newest DOTM-who, as you probably know, is none other than our very own Adi J. Mconnell!

June 1 means that it is now ''blogging season'' because everyone is on summer vacation. Lots of bloggers are starting summer photo stories, doll camps, and other fun stuff. I may or may not do a doll camp-I hope to, but I don't know if I can plan it so close to now. Never fear, however, because Kait at Kait's AG Crafts is doing a super fun one through July!

One more thing 6/1/17 means; tomorrow morning, TheAGSpot will be officially five months old. Can you believe it?? It seems like two weeks ago I was nervously hitting ''Create Blog'', hoping I'd get at least one or two comments. And now look at the site! I currently have, um, *runs and checks views* 3,241! I also have 207 comments-whoa! While I don't actually have anything special planned, I just wanted to say 'Thank You' to all my wonderful loyal readers.

So, are you all pumped up for summer? I sure am! I have a beach photoshoot coming up for tomorrow, and it's really cute. (Adalyn's hair is in harijuku buns! What could be any cuter??)

Summer-ily,
