Let's Talk; What Is Your Favorite AG Doll Outfit?

Hello, Doll-Lovers! It's time for another round of Let's Talk! I will get to today's question in a minute, but first I would like to show you one of the creative answers that was commented! Last week's question was; ''What would your dream custom doll look like?'' You guys described some absolutely STUNNING dolls-Anna's comment was selected!

''My dream custom doll would look like the main character from the novel I'm currently plotting-dark brown hair with blond and red streaks, green eyes, light skin, freckles, and would probably have the Jess mold. Her name would be Emma (the name of my character) and her meet outfit would be a spy suit.''

Emma sounds BEAUTIFUL, Anna! I hope you make/get her someday!

And now for Today's question!

What is Your Favorite AG Outfit Ever Made?

My answer; My absolute favorite AG outfit would have to be Lea's Meet Outfit! I love the bright, tribal print, and her sandals are positively to Die For! Plus, it's a very cute cut, and I like the braided belt.

Now that I've answered, it's time for you to! I can't wait to hear about YOUR favorite outfit!

A Photoshoot with Adalyn...

Hello, my fellow doll fans! I made Adalyn a new shirt today, and she wore it for a photoshoot. It was my first 'finished-looking' top I've made, with facings, and hemming, and zig-zag stitch finishing. I'm really proud of it! Here are some more pictures;

Cute little Adalyn...(Shh! Don't tell her I said that!!)

I am SO proud of this picture! I love the angle and the clarity of it-I was on a roll with my camera!

A cool fact about Adalyn is that she is actually the same age as me-eleven. But I decided that she is almost nine, because I loved being nine, and she looks younger than my other dolls.

Don't you just LOVE her hair??

And, last but CERTAINLY not least, this is one of the best pictures I have ever taken. Perfect clarity, blurred background, clear focal point. She has the cutest face!! I have fallen in love with her button nose and almond shaped brown eyes. Asian molds, such as the #4 mold, and the Jess mold, don't get enough attention these days-and I don't know why! They are so sweet. I am hoping with the introduction of Z Yang these cuties will get more appreciation!

The Fabulous Fashion Show With Joy and Her Dolls!

Hello, everyone! Today Joy and I have something super special for you! It's a............Fashion Show featuring her dolls as models! But before we get started walking down the runway, I need to introduce you to our models! From left to right, they are; Gemma, Caroline, Samantha, and Kiera.

First off down the runway, we have Samantha! She is modeling a stylish baking outfit.

Her apron has a cute motif of a flower, and polka-dotted ruffles along the top! (She is also holding a very delicious looking cake......mmmmm)

Samantha is wearing pink leggings, and comfy shoes for walking around the kitchen.

Next up is.....Caroline! She is looking very dainty in her black-and-burgundy plaid dropwaist dress, holding a bouquet of flowers.

Caroline also has a plaid purse over her shoulder....It looks so pretty with her blonde curls toppling down her back!

And who's that shyly stepping in wearing red Mary-Janes?

Kiera! In her soft pink tutu and tights, she looks ready to dance! Her soft blond hair is clipped back with a matching barrette, and she has a bouquet of pale pink roses.

And of course, last but not least, Gemma steps onto the runway! She wears a beautiful green dress with a peter-pan collar, buttons, and red flowers on the skirt.

In her hair are multi-colored flowers, and over her shoulders is a stylish vest.

Curtain call! Everyone comes out to bow after their lovely performance!

So, did you like that? I know, I know, Ellie should SO have been in it, but I didn't have her with me at Joy's house. Oh, and which would you rather see first-how to make a doll fish tank, or what happens when the dolls go camping?

Review Of The MLA Strawberry Swimsuit!

Hi, everyone! Don't you just looooooove Mondays? No? Huh. Go figure. However low you may be feeling, Ellie and I have something to cheer you up! A review of the My Life As... Strawberry Swimsuit set!

I realized my dolls didn't actually have any swimsuits-a problem, because summer is coming up!-and I fell in love with this adorable set. I got it at Walmart for $9.97, very reasonable, because it's an entire outfit.

It comes with a swimsuit, shorts, sunglasses, and flip-flops. The swimsuit is an adorable asymmetrical tie-over. It fastens in the back with Velcro.

The swimsuit was a tad tight-MLA dolls are a little skinnier than AG-but it fit fine. I was really impressed; the swimsuit was very well made, with no frays or threads anywhere!

I LOVE the flip flops! I wasn't counting on the fitting, but they are perfect, plus they match the swimsuit-a Fashion must!

The sunglasses, in my opinion, don't look the greatest on Ellie, but it's ok.

The shorts fit excellently! I like the sunglasses way better on top of her head. I added a little bag with decorative buttons on it to be her beach bag-Ellie is ready to go!

Isn't she just SO cute?? I give this set 4 3/4 stars-the 3/4 is because it was a little tight.

I LOVE IT!!!!!! AH! THOSE CURLS! *DIES*

Yeah, I definitely like the sunglasses on top of her head-Like, REALLY like them!

I guess Ellie needs to go to the beach now!

Did you like this set? Do you think you'll get it?  I have another review tomorrow-and that one's even cooler!

The Best Off-Brand AG Clothes!

Hi, everyone! Today I'm going to be showing you the best places to get high-quality, reasonably priced clothes for your American Girl Doll, or other 18'' doll. Thank you to Maryellen the Fashionista for your help (actually, it was mostly bossing, Ellie can be like that sometimes). Here goes!

1. DreamWorld Collections This Amazon store has beautiful, colorful clothes. They have outfits, and separates, and model them on AG, so you know they will fit. The outfit below is their 'Feeling Happy
' Outfit, priced at $25.99

 2. Doll Club Of America This may be my all-time favorite doll clothing seller! They normally have large lots of 4 or 5 outfits, and usually they all coordinate, like 'vacation' or 'dance'. When they do have single outfits, they are very reasonably priced, around $14 for a dress and shoes. Below is the 'holiday travel' outfit set, priced at $39.99

3. Emily Rose Doll Clothes Ellie was OVER THE MOON about this doll clothes store on amazon. She said they were the most stylish, fashionable, and totally fabulous clothes ever! (insert excited squeal). I thought they were very pretty, and well made. This pajama set, just called the Coral Pajamas, was sold for $15.00. I personally LOOOOOVE the bunny slippers!

What did you think of all these doll clothing stores? I found them all while browsing Amazon. Do you think you'll buy any of their clothes?
