Hi!

*Waves* I know I haven't posted in something like....three weeks???? I'm so sorry about that, I've been really busy. I just wanted to tell you guys that I'm working hard on something I'm calling TAGS 2.0 (any guesses on what it is?) and that I've got some super fun stuff coming up on the future.

In the meantime, I thought it would be fun if I did a reader photos post this month-so, if you'd like, you can send me one or two photos by August 31st telling me about what your dolls are up to this month, and what they are looking forward to in the next. Have fun!

Writing To AG; AG's Reply to My Letter

Hello! Today I was sorting through the mail when a burgundy star caught my eye; a letter from American Girl! As you know, a few months ago, I said I was going to write AG and request a homeschooled doll. I finally got around to it, and today AG's reply came! While I do not have a copy of my original letter, here is what they sent me;

Dear Natalie,

Thank you for writing to American Girl. We love hearing from our fans, especially when their letters are as eloquent, polite, and well-written as yours.

We think your idea for an American Girl character who is homeschooled is a great idea. We agree-homeschooled kids definitely deserve to be represented, and we appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. Unfortunately, we are unable to take specific product requests for legal reasons, but we want you to know how much we value your feedback. Hearing from the very girls we serve helps us know what your likes and interests are, and how we might improve our products and services.

Though we can't promise if, or when, we might introduce a character who is homeschooled, we will be sure to share your idea with our Product Development Team. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us!

Best Wishes,

Alicia Granger
Customer Service Correspondent

P.S. We hope you keep on blogging-you are a very gifted writer. Homeschooling definitely seems to be working for you!

Thank you, American Girl! I really appreciate you writing back such a nice letter.

So....My thoughts! I love that AG personally wrote back an encouraging letter. That is super awesome of them! I like that they say that they like the idea, and I understand that legal reasons could be a problem. However, we may be on the track for a homeschooled character!! You know, for all people grumbled and groaned back in February and March, AG has fabulous customer service. Also-they visited TheAGSpot?? Apparently, they did; I went through the entry sites on my stats page! That is really amazing, that they would visit some unheard-of 11 year old's blog. And I'm a gifted writer?? Well!! Thank you, AG!

If you wrote a letter to AG, I'd love to hear about it in the comments!!

Nanea ENTIRE COLLECTION on Ebay!

Hello, my fellow internet spies doll fans! YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT I FOUND! Eh, what's that? You do know? Oh. The big all-caps title. Right.

Anyway, I found someone on Ebay selling Nanea and her entire collection for the very low price of............$399! Now, I don't know what the prices are on her collection, but I don't believe it can possibly cost $400. But I grabbed all the pictures, so here they are!

So there she is! With her entire release collection. I think it's cute-although, I think it's a little small-maybe she'll get some new stuff after her initial release.

And here is Miss Nanea Mitchell in all her glory!! Can I just say I am in LOVE. WITH. HER. FACE. It is so sweet and innocent. This confirms that her eyebrows are feathered, and that her shirt is printed with little houses and palm trees, NOT boats. Her buttons appear to be functional!! I hope I'm right.

She has a Hawaiian luau outfit!! It's SO cute! But didn't Molly have something very close to this? I don't think Molly's had the maraca thingies. I might DIY this-it looks pretty easy.

This isn't the most interesting shot of Nanea, but it gives you a view that lets you see that her shoes have a clear plastic strap at the back to hold them on, and that her haircut is tapered slightly. It also shows that the flower in her hair is a removable plastic clip.

Her pajamas are just perfect! If they have a girls size of this I will be first in line to buy it. It's interesting that she doesn't have slippers-I like it!

And finally, her accessories! They include a bag, what appears to be a small, matching drawstring bag (hmm....) A letter addressed to Nanea, what I think is a library card, two dollars, and a shell necklace. The bag is super cool, and the envelope is so tiny!

So, what do you think now? Do you think you will get Nanea?
