Nanea ENTIRE COLLECTION on Ebay!

Hello, my fellow internet spies doll fans! YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT I FOUND! Eh, what's that? You do know? Oh. The big all-caps title. Right.

Anyway, I found someone on Ebay selling Nanea and her entire collection for the very low price of............$399! Now, I don't know what the prices are on her collection, but I don't believe it can possibly cost $400. But I grabbed all the pictures, so here they are!

So there she is! With her entire release collection. I think it's cute-although, I think it's a little small-maybe she'll get some new stuff after her initial release.

And here is Miss Nanea Mitchell in all her glory!! Can I just say I am in LOVE. WITH. HER. FACE. It is so sweet and innocent. This confirms that her eyebrows are feathered, and that her shirt is printed with little houses and palm trees, NOT boats. Her buttons appear to be functional!! I hope I'm right.

She has a Hawaiian luau outfit!! It's SO cute! But didn't Molly have something very close to this? I don't think Molly's had the maraca thingies. I might DIY this-it looks pretty easy.

This isn't the most interesting shot of Nanea, but it gives you a view that lets you see that her shoes have a clear plastic strap at the back to hold them on, and that her haircut is tapered slightly. It also shows that the flower in her hair is a removable plastic clip.

Her pajamas are just perfect! If they have a girls size of this I will be first in line to buy it. It's interesting that she doesn't have slippers-I like it!

And finally, her accessories! They include a bag, what appears to be a small, matching drawstring bag (hmm....) A letter addressed to Nanea, what I think is a library card, two dollars, and a shell necklace. The bag is super cool, and the envelope is so tiny!

2 Beloved Beforever Dolls to RETIRE??

Hi! I know I posted like 10 minutes ago, but while further scouring the web for Luciana Vega info (I found out her last name!) I came across some sadder news.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously?? Samantha is a beloved favorite, and Addy represents an important and sometimes difficult to explain part of history. And what's wrong with two African American dolls? I don't understand AG's motives. I'm really upset. What do you think?

GOTY 2018 // Rumors and Releases

Hell-oooo world! Today I have some cool and exciting news to share with you about Girl of The Year 2018!! I know-we thought it was Tenney, BUT NO! AG has leaked some stuff, and  I have some info! (Do I sound totally hyper?) So here's what I know

• GOTY 2018's name is RUMORED to be Luciana. I like it! It's very unusual. I hope she's got red hair-I'm picturing her like TM 65
• She is also rumored to be into STEM-that is, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. I think that's so cool, because practically every male in my family is an engineer of some kind.\
• The fact that Luciana's into STEM was pretty much confirmed when Poppets and Posies found a shirt on Ebay that had a heart with a galaxy design on it.  It said ''I need some SPACE'' and underneath that. Here's a picture (Poppets and Posies  found this. It is THEIR photo, NOT mine)

Isn't it CUTE?????? This also confirms that her name IS Luciana! Maybe this is her release day Tee?

I have a few predictions of my own; I definitely think AG will be remaking the science fair set for Luciana, and some more solar system themed items, like posters. I wonder if she will be into things like sci-fi movies, and if she will wear glasses-it seems like she might be sort of nerdy. Also- maybe just maybe, she is homeschooled? I hope so, but she probably won't be.

So are you excited? I sure am!! If I find anything else I will definitely post it.

We Fought For Quality AG-And We Won!!!

Hello, AG Lovers! I have some AMAZING news! As you all know, American Girl now has sewn-on underwear on TM dolls, Maryellen, and Melody. Many, many people have fought passionately against this, as it's just WEIRD. Like, REALLY weird. Well, our passionate fandom has paid off! AG posted this recently;

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????? NO MORE SEWN ON UNDERWEAR!!!!!!! No more weird boxes, except for Tenney and Gabby! NO MORE OF THOSE SUPRE IRRITATING POACKAGING TECHNIQUES! And for people who have bought a doll with sewn on underwear already, they are swapping the bodies out-FOR FREE!!! I am so happy! I have wanted Melody and/or a TM doll, but haven't gotten one yet-and didn't because of sewn-on underwear. Now I can! I feel like not even all capital bolded italic underlined letters can express how elated I am.

The other thing on my mind is this-will dolls with sewn-on underwear become rare and special? Will that be a collectible EBay thing? I know that that doesn't really matter right now, but it's interesting to think about!

In Conclusion, I am really happy! No more dolls with sewn on underwear, no more weird boxes, no more irritating packaging, and now AG has a little more quality!

GABRIELA MCBRIDE MINI DOLL!

Hey, everyone! I actually don't have very much to say, but I'm super excited! I found the Gabby Mcbride Mini Doll on Ebay! As with the Tenney Mini, you can't get her through AG for some reason-I'm not sure why. Anyway, here's the picture;

Isn't she cute? I cannot stop drooling over her infinitesimally tiny shoes! I think I know what's on Ellie's birthday wishlist!

Fight For Quality American Girl

Happy Friday, Everyone! Feeling energized by the thought of the weekend? Good. We need all the fighting power we can get. Now, you may ask, who is we? The entire American Girl blogging community, that's who. Jaclynn, over at Little House Of AG posted her thoughts on AG's recent declines in quality. She asked all of us doll-lovers to contact American Girl, and ask for the quality to come back. Use Snail-Mail, Email, call them, whatever works. (But please be polite and respectful when you talk to them)

Why has AG's quality gone down? It might have something to do with the fact that since last year, Katy Dickson was been president of Mattel's American Girl. Who is she? The former president of Barbie. Does that explain why Gabby's meet outfit looks like the Asian Made To Move Barbie's clothing? The whole attached underwear change? American Girl, meet Barbie

So let's stand together as a community and fight for quality! American Girl's motto is that Girls can do anything. So let's do something. Please reach out to American Girl as I mentioned above. As Adi says; ''WE WANT QUALIT-TY WE WANT QUALIT-TY!!'' . (But seriously, don't put that in an email...they would probably take that as spam...) We can do this! AG Update; SEWN-ON UNDERWEAR??

Yes, You read that title right; AG is now going to have some of their dolls feature ATTACHED UNDERWEAR! These changes will affect  the truly me dolls, Maryellen, Melody, and Julie. Nobody is sure whether American Girl is going to renew/update their patent or what.

My thoughts? ''What are they THINKING!?!'' I mean, think about that-permanently attached panties. No taking it off. Ever. And how will they attach it? will it be painted/dyed on, or actually sewn? I don't like this. Nuh-uh. And maybe it isn't all that big a deal, but I feel like it is. Why? Because who wants a $115 doll, who's underwear is non-removable?

It all seems so silly! Why not keep the dolls the way they are? They already started using zipties, yes, ZIPTIES for dolls like Lea and Gabriela instead of neck strings. That took the quality down a tad. But this? Yeah, no. From now on I'm going to be buying my truly me dolls off ebay.
